Our Story
Ciao! Did you know Pawz & Me was actually born in Italy?
At just 21 years old, our Founder Emily started to rethink her Hospitality career whilst galivanting around Europe with her now-husband Corey and gushing over all the well-loved European street cats and dogs.
After weeks of discussing the idea, and whilst laying on a stiff mattress in an uncomfortably hot Airbnb in central Oslo, Norway the night before they flew home to Sydney, Em decided there and then to change the course of her life forever.
Since these humble beginnings, we’ve worked with over 1,200 clients and now offer a growing range of quality Pet Services.
And there’s plenty more to come for the future at Pawz & Me!

Emily
Em is the Top Dog who helps to keep the wheels spinning here at Pawz & Me. She founded P&M in 2017 after dreaming of working with animals since she was a kid. A 5-week European adventure in 2017 left her returning to her boring job and saying “Nah… Not for me, thanks.” and since then she’s never looked back!
As well as being an avid animal lover, Em is big on female empowerment and providing local employment opportunities for young women. She has built Pawz & Me with an open and empowered work culture where our all-women team can pursue their passion in animal care and break the stereotypes and boundaries of our industry.
Em is passionate about all things pets and supporting small biz with community over competition. She takes huge pride in the achievements of Pawz & Me’s incredible team of women and is always looking for the next venture to expand the Pawz & Me brand.

Shannon has always loved animals, and feels beyond lucky to work in a field that lets her combine that love with her business savvy.
When she’s not helping our Clients manage their bookings, you will find her snuggled up to her furry baby Henry, or down at the beach.

Gizelle’s first best friend was her poodle, Chad, gifted to her by her mum when she was 8 years old. Ever since, she’s been a big animal lover and at one point over the last 4 years has had 3 dogs, 6 puppies, a hedgehog, 2 turtles and 2 lovebirds all at the same time.
She’s a florist by trade, was once an aspiring horticulturalist who owned more than a hundred plants and loves to paint landscapes and architectural portraits using watercolours.
Gizelle’s lifelong dream is to retire as a painter hermit by the sea surrounded by a dog, a cat, shelves of books, plants and lots of art.

Animals have always held a special place in Tori’s heart. From owning them to rescuing them, they have always been part of her life.
Tori’s best poochy pal is her 9 year old Border Collie, Ellie – she’s that one of a kind dog everyone wishes they had. Ellie has been by Tori’s side since the day she came home at 9 weeks old.
Tori is an internationally published Makeup Artist by trade, a qualified Business Coach, a small business advocate, and a mum by… well, 24/7!
Tori’s life goals are: dogs, horses and cows all outside her kitchen window.

Latanna has always had a passion to work with animals big and small for as long as she can remember. She has owned multiple different types of animals ranging from reptiles, birds to rabbits and fish!
Latanna is always up for an adventure, seeking to find new experiences and learn new things. She enjoys going on hikes, mountain biking in the botanic gardens, spending time with friends and family, and visiting the beach.

Christine has always had a passion to work with animals big and small, starting from the first moment she met her Aunty’s Golden Retriever, Jack. She’s extremely passionate about pet adoption, having adopted a Great Dane X herself who she loves more than life itself. She’s also a rodent lover and is keen to one day own rats!
In Christine’s spare time, she loves hanging with her big Italian family and catching all the latest comedy flicks at the cinema.

Abbey
Abbey has always loved animals and has had a number of pets over the years such as dogs, cats, mice, ferrets and her special bestie, Frank the Fighting Fish. She really loves animals of all shapes and sizes!
She’s currently studying for a Bachelor of Psychology and is eager to gain skills in animal therapy and support. When she’s not studying, you’ll find her watching movies, finding new recipes or spending time with her friends and family.

Growing up, Lucy’s family never wanted any pets, but with sheer determination in the form of a few slideshows of why she needs a puppy, countless after-school hours spent at the Camden Pet Shop and dragging her dad to animal shelters on weekends, Lucy finally had her first dog when she turned 11. Django, named by her dad and brother, was an Australian Terrier puppy and he was Lucy’s first best friend. The same way girls wrote in their diaries, Lucy spoke to Django about her day and her dreams.

Caitlyn’s passion for animals began when her mum bought her a puppy for her 7th birthday. She named her Tinky (after Tinkerbell) and she is still her best friend to this day.
When she’s not walking her three dogs or training her bunny, Caitlyn loves to be cuddled up on the lounge with a good book or going to her local beaches for a walk or swim.

Laura
Laura is a dog person to a tee and often becomes distracted by cute doggy grins. With her background in online marketing, working for Pawz & Me has quickly become the ideal combination of everything she loves, all rolled into one.
You’ll find Laura in the Pawz & Me office most days, although she tries to sneak in the van every now and again to ride along with the team and get some cuddles in. In her spare time, Laura enjoys being a mum to her two kids, hanging out with her rescue Staffy, Bronco, and photography.
